Ah, leaps of faith. My life has been full of those. Sometimes I’ve been afraid to take the leap; and yes, it’s pretty much always scary. But usually it’s worth it.

Every time I start a novel it feels a bit like launching myself into the void - once I find out which world is below me, I feel fine. I don’t need faith anymore, all I need to do is make sure I drift down in roughly the right place and make a halfway decent landing and report the whole thing well.

I am glad I amuse you, lol. And I like that “different isn’t bad, it just isn’t the same.” How true. You have to be willing to take a leap sometimes, even if it isn’t particularly graceful.
